In 1856, William George Clark arrived in Argos, Greece just days before the Paschal celebrations. He published a book about his travels in 1858 titled Peloponnesus: Notes of Study and Travel in which he describes his experiences of the celebration of Palm Sunday in the Cathedral of Argos, which allows him to expand his thoughts on the Greek Orthodox Church in general.
