New Martyr Michael Paknanas the Gardner of Athens (Feast Day - June 30 and July 9)The house of Saint Michael Paknanas was near the Acropolis in Athens in Vlassarou, which today is known as Ancient Agora. This photo was taken in 1935 and is from the American School of Classical Education in Athens.
The only chapel dedicated to St. Michael is within the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Neos Kosmos, Athens. According to tradition, this is where the gardens of St. Michael were. They celebrate his feast day on July 9th.
