I was recently commissioned to translate some profound and inspiring works by our Righteous Father Alexei Mechev, which I put together in a booklet. Unfortunately, after printing 500 copies, circumstances changed and the one who commissioned the work has been hospitalized and called off the purchase. Since I am at an unforeseen personal loss with this, I wanted to make these never before translated texts available to my followers for only $11.95 a copy, which includes shipping and handling. I would like to sell all of these as quick as possible, and it would be great reading material for the lenten season. As an added incentive, for the first 50 people who order, I will also offer a never before published text by Fr. John Romanides titled "The Canon and the Inspiration of the Holy Scripture" free of charge.

The Relic of Fr. George Calciu the Confessor Found Incorrupt

At Petru-Voda Monastery in Romania, according to the specific rubric observed by our Church, the Service of Exhumation took place for Fr. George Calciu Dumitreasa, for the completion of seven years since his repose (+ November 21, 2006). His relic was found incorrupt, thus affirming the sanctity of his life.

He lived through the peak of the brutality of communism, when Christians were imprisoned and tortured in the most inhumane way. He went through torture that the common human mind cannot comprehend. He was hideously tortured, kept in the dark and cold, mocked, terrorized, and saw his comrades die one by one.

He showed incredible courage, a courage bordering on foolishness, a foolishness for Christ. He understood that this was a battle between God and Satan, and he was fighting for something he considered essential: the Church, the Faith, human dignity and freedom.
