14 *New* Items from the Mystagogy Bookstore

MYSTAGOGY BOOKSTORE is offering 14 new publications for the support of this Ministry and the development of its future projects. I am especially excited to offer the unpublished until now text of Fr. John Romanides titled Theosis - The Aim of Creation, together with some of his other writings that have not been widely read or distributed like some of his other writings. Metropolitan Hierotheos' Homilies on the Lord's Prayer has never been translated into English until now, and there are other unique offerings of interest. In the coming months more writings will be offered for purchase.

Please visit the link to the page for the MYSTAGOGY BOOKSTORE for instructions on how to purchase these items and to see our other offerings (now 41 altogether).

5. The Life and Teachings of St. Macarius the Great
By Prof. Ivan Michailovich Kontzevich
$10.00

6. The Dionysian Authorship of the Writings of Dionysius the Areopagite
Various Authors
$10.00

Western scholarship is almost unanimous that Dionysius the Areopagite did not write the works attributed to him, but they were produced in the sixth century. Yet there are some who argue for the authenticity of the claim that they are indeed a late first century or early second century text. Some of these latter arguments are presented in this study.

7. Homily on the Holy Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist John

$6.00

A homily that examines the life and core teachings of St. John the Baptist.

9. The Community of the Desert and the Loneliness of the Cities

The life of Papoulakos, one of the most influential Greek missionaries of the 19th century.

13. Dostoevsky's Spiritual Therapy
By David Starr
$6.00

This short study is best explained from the first paragraph: "Dostoevsky did not mean to write fiction as ordinarily conceived. What did he intend? I think he wrote investigations of the soul, hypothetical analyses of the sickness and healing of the human spirit, with himself as primary experimental subject."

14. The Historicity of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus
By John Sanidopoulos
$6.00

Could the tale of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus have historical credibility, or is it just an allegorical tale? This study demonstrates the former.
