Below is the text of the Acts of the Martyrs of Bezabde, which is followed by an analysis of the text. The first is taken from the book The Roman Eastern Frontier and the Persian Wars AD 226-363: A Documentary History, and the second is taken from the book Constantine and the Captive Christians of Persia: Martyrdom and Religious Identity in Late Antiquity.
