Sts. Neophytos, Zenonos, Gaius, Mark, Makarios, and Gaianus (Feast Day - August 11) |
Verses
To Neophytos, Zenonos, Gaius.
Neophytos, Zenonos and Gaius,
Were spread out in the furnace, as if sleeping inside.
Were spread out in the furnace, as if sleeping inside.
To Mark, Makarios and Gaianus.
The three burnt alive Martyrs were perceived,
As a strange scent of incense to the Trinity.
As a strange scent of incense to the Trinity.
On this day we commemorate the Holy Martyrs Neophytos, Zenonos, Gaius, Mark, Makarios, and Gaianus, who met their end by fire. Their Synaxis was celebrated in the praise-worthy house of the Holy and Glorious Unmercenaries Kosmas and Damianos in the Darion district of Constantinople.
